Vanilla Beans of Feneos were registered in the Register of PDO/PGI products of the European Union, in accordance with Executive Regulation (EU) 2016/1644 of the European Commission. "Vanilla bean of Feneos" has been systematically cultivated in Feneos since the end of the 19th century. The long-term cultivation of the product is due to the special quality characteristics that describe it. The local name "Vanilla" was given by the growers themselves to emphasize the white color and the particularly sweet taste of the product that resembles vanilla. These special quality characteristics differentiate it between other beans and make it popular in the market.
